IBISBA-ERIC Statutes
Version 1

Finalised in February 2026, the IBISBA statutes are the foundational legal rules that will be used by IBISBA ERIC when it becomes operational. The statutes are compliant with the European regulation (EC) No 723/2009 – "rules for creating a European Research Infrastructure Consortium". The current version described in this document is the fruit of lengthy legal work performed during two European funded projects. The document's content has been examined and approved by the European Commission and adopted by IBISBA's Steering Committee in 2025. The statutes are currently pending examination by individual countries that are targeted as future IBISBA-ERIC members. Before IBISBA-ERIC is created the statutes will be once again examined by legal counsellors appointed by the European Commission. Therefore, the current statutes may differ from the statutes that will be finally adopted as those of the future IBISBA-ERIC.
